Why iPhone Tracking & Export Works Here
MP4 by default on iOS
iOS Safari can't play WebM at all, so Vis Exo automatically defaults the export format to MP4 (H.264) the moment it detects an iPhone or iPad — no format-fiddling required.
Save Sheet, not a download link
iOS ignores the browser “download a file” pattern most sites rely on, so exports go through the native Share Sheet instead — tap Share, then Save Video, and it’s in Photos.
A persistent mobile control bar
Mode, Visual Style, Line Width, and Color sit in a compact bar pinned to the top of the video the whole time — no digging through a settings sheet mid-shoot.
Frame-accurate Render Mode
Real-time capture can stutter on an older phone under load. Render Mode steps through the source video frame by frame instead, trading speed for a guaranteed clean, unduplicated result.
Nothing ever leaves your phone
Every frame of tracking and every second of export happens locally in Safari via WebAssembly — no upload, no account, no server round-trip.
Works on a live camera or a saved clip
Track live through the rear or front camera, or load a video already in your Camera Roll — both go through the same tracking and export pipeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I record blob tracking video directly on my iPhone?
Yes. Open Vis Exo in Safari on iPhone, allow camera access (or upload a clip from your Camera Roll), pick a tracking mode, and hit Record. The finished video is handed to iOS’s Share Sheet so you can save it to Photos.
Why does my export open in a new tab instead of downloading?
iOS Safari doesn’t support the standard browser download link for video files — tapping it just opens the file. Vis Exo opens it in the native video viewer instead, where the Share icon → Save Video does the same job.
What video format does Vis Exo use on iPhone?
MP4 (H.264) by default, since that’s the only video format iOS can reliably play back and save. WebM is offered on desktop and Android but is skipped automatically on iOS.
Does it work on iPad too?
Yes — the same iOS-specific handling (MP4 export, Share Sheet saving, mobile control bar) applies to iPadOS.
