Why Constellation Line Art Works Here
Connect lines between every point
Enable Connect draws a line between each pair of currently-tracked points, redrawn every frame as they move — the actual constellation/network structure, not a fixed pattern.
Glowing dotted style
The preset pairs Connect with a dotted line style and a glow effect, closer to a star-chart or particle-network look than plain geometry.
Reacts to real movement
Because it's driven by live blob tracking, the constellation reshapes itself with whatever's actually moving in frame — dancers, hands, objects, crowds.
Distance labels, optional
Connect can optionally show the pixel distance for each line, useful for a more data/diagram-driven aesthetic instead of a purely decorative one.
Works on webcam or video
Live webcam for an instant generative visual, or an uploaded clip processed the same way after the fact.
Record it as a clip
Record captures the full constellation animation as a downloadable WebM or MP4 video.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get the constellation effect?
Click the Constellation preset — it sets Blob mode, a dotted white line style, and turns on Connect (with glow) in one click.
What is actually being connected?
Every point blob tracking is currently detecting in the frame — a line is drawn between each pair of them, recalculated every frame as they move.
Can I turn off the glow or change the color?
Yes — Connect Glow is a separate toggle, and the line/point color uses the same color picker as the rest of the mode's controls.
Does it need more than one tracked point to look good?
It works with any number, but the network/constellation look is most visible with several points moving independently — hands, dancers, or a crowd, for example.
Can I export the result?
Yes — Record saves the full live constellation animation as a WebM or MP4 file.
