Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Kinect or a depth camera?
No. Body tracking here runs from a single ordinary RGB webcam or an uploaded video — there is no depth sensor and nothing to plug in.
Which body points does it actually track?
Pose mode follows 17 keypoints: nose, eyes and ears, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. You can show or hide them by group — Face, Arms, Torso, Legs — so a squat analysis is not cluttered by facial points.
Can it track more than one body at once?
Yes. Turn on Multi-Person and it switches to a multi-pose model, giving each body its own tracking ID and colour so two people never swap skeletons mid-clip.
What is the difference between Body Tracking and Person Tracking?
Pose draws a jointed skeleton inside the body. Person mode instead finds each person and traces the moving silhouette inside their box, giving an organic outline rather than a stick figure. Use Pose for form and angles, Person for shape and mattes.
Can I get the body positions out as data?
Yes. Export tracking data as CSV and you get per-frame coordinates you can open in a spreadsheet or feed into another tool.
Can I add a body tracking effect to a video I already filmed?
Yes. Load the clip instead of using the webcam — the body is tracked frame by frame, and Record saves the finished effect as MP4 or WebM, ready for CapCut, Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.
Can I get a glowing outline instead of a skeleton?
Yes. Turn on Angel Glow in Pose mode for a soft halo around the body, or use Person mode with the Contour visual style for an outline that follows the silhouette. See the Angel Glow guide.
